Overview: Hyndland House, a 174-bed student accommodation in Glasgow’s west end, opened in 2014. Spanning six floors and featuring high-spec studios, en-suites and DDA compliant rooms, it offers contemporary urban living with social spaces and events

Management Transition: We were involved with the site from an early stage and transitioned into a full Student Property Management contract on completion of the build.

Services

PfP Students provides a full Socially Impactful Third Party Property Management service, including:

Design and Build: Early involvement in the design and build stage ensured the property was optimised for purpose, from layout to furniture selection.

Student Property Management: We provide a full suite of services, including lettings, marketing, day-to-day maintenance, hard and soft facilities maintenance. The onsite team ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for students, allowing them to focus on their studies.

Facilities Management: Our facilities management services cover a wide range of areas, including planned and reactive maintenance, on-site management, 24-hour helpdesk support, security, cleaning (routine, periodic, and reactive), window cleaning, waste management and recycling, HSQE (health, safety, quality, and environmental) management, laundry service, pest control, hard services (fabric maintenance, mechanical and electrical works, plumbing), and statutory and mandatory services

Marketing Plan: Our digital marketing strategies target the 18-24 age group, leveraging techniques like social media campaigns and SEO. We collaborate with leading student letting portals, ensuring maximum visibility for properties in our management. We have excellent relationships with international agents to promote properties worldwide.

Student Bookings: An efficient online booking system streamlines reservations, providing a hassle-free experience for landlords and tenants.

Sustainability on Site

  • Biodiversity: A herb garden has been installed on site with a variety of herbs, fruit, and vegetables. Students cultivate the garden for their own use.
  • Recycling Champions: Each kitchen has a student in charge of ensuring all paper, plastic, cardboard etc. gets recycled.
  • Donations: Donate unwanted clothing, furniture and other items throughout the year to local charities, including Marie Curie, BHF and Grassroots Clothing.
  • Energy Saving: 40% of lights at Hyndland House have been changed to LED which has resulted in cost savings.

  • Engagement: PfP Students enhances student experience through events, safeguarding, and pastoral care, partnering with Student Minds to continually improve support services.
  • Community: The dedicated management team fosters a supportive community, which contributes to high occupancy and strong renewal rates.
